Rei is a tier 10 Island Boss located in Imperial City.

The Battle

Rei is a lightning element event boss. Its arena has no walls. Like many other bosses, it requires minions to be destroyed to progress the fight. Rei is a very bullet-hell boss, and all of the bullets during the fight are piercing.

Vulnerabilty Routine

To make Rei go vulnerable, all 3 Defence Orbs must be destroyed. When Rei goes vulnerable, it will charge up and release 3 large electric orbs that do a high amount of damage, and several long bullets that do a moderate amount of damage. Rei will then go vulnerable and quickly follow the nearest player. Rei will spawn 2 small Suppressors that have a very long lightning bolt that does a small amount of damage below it. Rei will also spawn 3 large Suppressors that spit out short lightning bolts that split out doing a moderate amount of damage. Rei will automatically go invulnerable after a small period if it isn't damaged to a specific threshold of health. All the minions that Rei has will instantly despawn if this is reached.

Phase 1

When players enter Rei's arena, Rei will fire rings of small star-shaped bullets that do small amounts of damage. Rei will also fire 4 medium-sized star-shaped bullets that do a moderate amount of damage. Rei will also fire 3 long lightning bolts equally spaced around itself. These small bolts of lightning have a warning shot of where they'll be, and then they strike and do a medium amount of damage.
After a few seconds, Rei will spawn in a dense ring of unnamed black clouds surrounding and circling it, and 3 Defence Orbs. The Defence Orbs and unnamed clouds move rapidly. The orbs move from one position to another rapidly. Defense Orbs also fire 2 streams of small star-shaped bullets that do small amounts of damage. These streams appear on opposite sides of the orb.
After a few more seconds, Rei will quickly follow the nearest player for a few seconds. It will also fire a short stream of long bullets that do a moderate amount of damage from its body every few seconds. Rei will also leave behind small revolving lightning bolts beneath itself that do a minimal amount of damage. The Defence Orbs change positions and stay a small distance away from Rei's body, staying at the same distance and very slowly revolving around Rei. Every few seconds the orbs switch places but still stay in the same formation. Rei will also start firing many large heavy damaging bolts of lightning randomly with warning areas to dodge them.
After Rei does his attacks a couple of times, Rei will spawn a ring of rotating Transmitters. These enemies spawn a small distance away from Rei and go in circles, some go clockwise and others go counter-clockwise. They are invulnerable for a small period and have lightning bolts racing between Rei and the Transmitters. These long lightning bolts do a moderate amount of damage. Rei will repeat this pattern until it goes vulnerable.

Phase 2

As Rei goes into Phase 2, Rei will go to the middle of its arena and spawn a field of unnamed small minions that have pulses of lightning between each other in a grid-like formation. There are 2 circles of them, the inner circle of the minions will revolve counter-clockwise and the outer circle of them will go the other direction. They will all fire a small pellet at the nearest player every few seconds, doing a small amount of damage. Rei will go through the same things it did in Phase 1 except spawn the black clouds and the Transmitters, other than that, Rei will still go through the same attacks and spawning the same enemies. When Rei goes vulnerable, all the unnamed small minions will cover Rei closely like a shield. They won't have pulses of lightning between them but they will still fire bullets. After going invulnerable again, Rei will fully loop Phase 1.

Phase 3

Phase 3 is the same as Phase 2, the only difference being Rei has another circle of the unnamed small minions. The 2 inner circles revolve the same way, but the 3rd outer ring of the minions move counter-clockwise. The vulnerability phase is the same as well. After going invulnerable again, Rei will fully loop Phase 1.

Rei will repeat through all these phases over and over until killed.

The Loot

Rei, like any other world or event boss, has a 1% unscaled damage of the boss's HP requirement to earn loot. Possible drops include Transformer Coil (Always), Barrel Dopant (Sometimes), Tier 8 Equipment (Sometimes), Tier 9 Equipment (Rarely), Storm Armor (Rarely), and the Thunder Brand (Ultra-Rare).
