- Top row describes forward shot, which starts at 15° counter-clockwise (CCW) from forward and rotates 16° clockwise (CW) after each shot, instantly moving back to its initial orientation when it goes past 15° CW.
- Bottom row describes rear shots (specified internally using a 240° firing arc). The firing pattern's center line starts at 15° CCW from forward and rotates 8° CW after each shot, instantly moving back to its initial orientation when it goes past 15° CW.
- Unlike most weapons with reload mechanics, Lightning Bug reloads only when the clip is completely empty. Users of the weapon should empty their clip between fights whenever possible in order to prevent untimely reloads later.
- Compared to Tyrian Stinger (T10 Wasp), Lightning Bug fires shots 150% faster, and its bullets last 100% longer before despawning. However, the ELEM weapon has greatly reduced range (~43% less for the forward shot and ~71% less for the rear shots) and suffers from an unwieldy reload mechanic, and its sprinkler-style firing patterns make it difficult to land shots beyond point-blank range.
