Increased damage up-close.

The signature weapon type of the Assault and Bandit planes and an alternate weapon type of the Old Faithful. Siege Tank 2-A unlocks this weapon type for use on Siege Tanks.

Shotguns normally fire 6 bullets in a 50° firing arc in front of the player and inflict close-range bonus damage (using invisible bullets) on a single enemy in the direction of aim, provided that the distance between the player and the target is no larger than 55% of the weapon's effective range.

  • Shotgun 2-A reduces the time required to reload shotguns while at least 2 allies are nearby.
  • Shotgun 2-B increases the clip size of Shotguns for 2 seconds after a kill.
    • Due to subtractive modifiers applying multiplicatively rather than additively, the net benefit of a max-level Hail to the King is as follows:
      • 2-4 nearby players: -10% Cooldown
      • 5-7 nearby players: -32% Cooldown
      • 8+ nearby players: -65% Cooldown


Standard Variations

Standard shotguns, in addition to dealing close-range bonus damage, inflict point-blank bonus damage (using a second invisible bullet) on a single enemy in the direction of aim, provided that the distance between the player and the target is no larger than ~20% of the weapon's effective range. The magnitude of point-blank bonus damage is roughly double that of close-range bonus damage.
